In order for an MIS to be successful, it is important to determine
the kinds of information each manager needs. To do this, one must
understand the various levels of management that exist and the kinds
of decisions that are made at each level of an organization. Three
levels of management generally exist within an organization, and
managers at each of these levels make different types of decisions
that require different types of information. The Figure below depicts
the three management levels.
