The check mark indicates the activity has been completed and marked. To view the students work you would then click on this button activated with a password which has not been included. Asterisks * indicates work has been viewed, marks only issued for completed assignments, some assignments have not been completed and time still remains to complete these assignments. A blank cell indicates that the work has not yet been viewed by the instructor and no assignments have been marked, time still remains to complete all work.
